A brave new brand for ExploreAI
To Explorers, graduates, and fans of the ExploreAI brand,
Today we present to you a new look, a new feel, and a new structure for the organisation’s brand and identity.
Through exceptional leadership and, above all, the black-belt excellence exhibited by 100s of Explorers, ExploreAI has gone from strength to strength. From 12 employees in November 2018 to over 160 today. From 100 students graduating in 2018 to over 1,000 studying this year. From one commercial client in 2018 to over 25 today. Our brand has equally evolved and today marks the exciting next evolution of how we appear to the world. This will launch ExploreAI as a single company, with a single brand, and a single-minded world-beating vision.
We’ll run through the changes below. But first - as ever - a video for this momentous occasion:
Organisation
We are all now ExploreAI. When referring to the company in written text it should appear as ExploreAI. No space, capital E. Where brevity is required, EAI can also be used.
Academy
The Academy is the foundation of ExploreAI and will be known as ExploreAI Academy or the ExploreAI Academy. Where brevity is required, EA or the Academy can also be used. The ExploreAI Academy has its own set of brand guidelines (logo, colours, etc) which are detailed below.
Explorers
Both the employees of ExploreAI and the students enrolled in our courses are referred to as Explorers in written text.
On LinkedIn
Employees of ExploreAI, regardless of whether they work on the Academy product or not, should set their employer as ExploreAI. This LinkedIn page will also be refreshed and will see regular postings and updates going forward.
The ExploreAI Academy LinkedIn page will be used by students only and should be listed as their educational institution.
Logos
Colours
We’ll keep navy as our core colour. 90% of the time we will use navy text and visual elements on a light background.

ExploreAI, referring to the group and all product offerings with the exception of any Academy products, will use a blue accent.
ExploreAI Academy will use an orange accent.
Website
Our new website is now live at explore.ai. For those interested, it’s implemented in Webflow, and most of the elements you see are built with Webflow’s CMS. This makes it simple for marketing to go in and change things.
Offerings
You’ll see we have segmented our product offerings into three categories: Digital twins, AI applications, and Digital team acceleration.
Digital twins refer to the specific area of work we do in building digital replicas/simulations of complex physical systems. This includes wastewater treatment plants and, soon, retail stores, among other things.
AI applications refer to all the non-digital twin work we do in domain-specific areas. For example, ExploreAI has significant domain expertise in the water utility industry. Therefore we are able to offer AI applications (software engineering solutions) built specifically for water utility companies.
Digital team acceleration refers to all our people-centric offerings, some of which are enabled by the Academy. If a client wants a team of 20 data experts, our Digital team acceleration salespeople will engage with them for that. If Standard Bank wants to sponsor students through our data science course, they would be dealing with our Digital team acceleration salespeople who specialise in CSI spend.
