Be brave enough to suck at something new.
I was sitting in my office, and I saw this quote on Twitter (now X). It instantly hit me like a ton of bricks. Even while I'm writing this blog, I can't help but chuckle at how perfectly it sums up my journey as an entrepreneur.
I'm a developer turned designer turned product guy. Throughout my life, I've built products. When I started zazzy, I knew nothing about the service business. I was terrified, but that fear, that sucking at something new, was a driving force behind every bit of growth we've experienced.
Here's the thing about entrepreneurship, there's no fixed roadmap. Anyone who tells you they've figured it all out is lying or trying to sell you something (probably both). This journey is about exploring and creating something meaningful in the midst of uncertainty.
I feel, here's why this quote is relatable and important for me and all the founders out there. Let's break it down:
"Those who dare to fail miserably can achieve greatly." -?John F. Kennedy

The truth is, everything new is hard at first. But the magic is when you suck at something, and you improve from there. It's where you grow, where you discover the strength you never knew you had, and that's where you build resilience that defines you as an entrepreneur.
Honestly, in every interview I saw and every successful people I've met, I've noticed they sucked at first, but they kept going and learning. That's how they grew.
As I look around our office, seeing all the hard work put in by the team, I'm reminded that this journey of constant learning and growth never really ends.
So, what are you going to suck at next? Whatever it is, I'm rooting for you.
