Brands join printers with ideas exchange at Koenig & Bauer Technology Days

The next steps in digital packaging printing, major advances in flexo printing and latest developments in digital décor printing are all among the topics we’ll be covering in our Open House at our headquarters in Würzburg later this month.

We have more than 100 customers, brands and partners attending the Koenig & Bauer Digital and Webfed?Technology Days on 24-25 January.

One of the aspects I am particularly looking forward to is the direct interaction in our ‘ideas exchange’ between our customers and some household-name brands.

Many topics will be on the agenda. On the one hand we are showing the enormous application possibilities with live digital printing and hybrid packaging printing on the RotaJET. Our guests will also have a sneak preview of our newly built CI-Flexo press that is ready for shipment to a customer.

A keynote address by Thomas Reiner, CEO of the BP Group, on packaging trends will also be of big interest, I am sure, as will be the presence of leading brands from the FMCG and healthcare spaces. Guests will also have a factory tour, showing our foundry, and an overview of the assembly lines.?

Building on an original idea that brands and our customers get together for a frank exchange of ideas, we will also show the future in printing digital with inkjet printing so they get an idea of the enormous opportunities.?

This fully interactive Open House will also enable guests to immerse themselves in a story of our specially created own brand, “My Happy Farm”. We can’t wait to show the application possibilities.

These will include producing sophisticated folding cartons, pouches, fibre-based packaging, corrugated and AI-generated décor, as well as flexo print samples on bio-based and biodegradable substrates.
