She gained valuable insights into the latest trends in tourism marketing, explored innovative approaches to accessibility, and connected with tourism partners from across the country. Meet our new President and CEO, Heather Zimmerman! Heather served as a member of our board for 3 years and now takes on a new role at PAR. Heather brings a diverse background in hospitality and tourism to the job. In her most recent position as Executive Director, she revitalized the aging festival with new vendors, rebranding, new marketing materials, and a new website. Under her direction, USA Today's 10Best ranked the 9-day celebration as one of North America's top cultural festivals in 2023 and 2024. She will oversee day-to-day operations and work to advance the role of tourism in Berks County through advocacy, community awareness, relationship building, and, most importantly, growing tourism to the area. Heather Zimmerman succeeds Crystal Seitz who is currently transitioning into retirement. Something you may not know about Heather is that she was voted Best Dressed in 9th grade and has never been on a rollercoaster! We are thrilled to have Heather on our team and are looking forward to seeing everything that we accomplish under her direction.
