MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. February 1, 2023—The BrandLab today announced that Kelli Williams will officially assume the CEO position with the organization after an interim stint starting last September. A nonprofit based in Minneapolis with offices in Kansas City and Milwaukee, The BrandLab is dedicated to creating more opportunities within the marketing and advertising industry for students from Indigenous, Black, Brown, AAPI, Latinx, and/or Hispanic backgrounds.?

Williams joins The BrandLab after founding Williams Brand Consulting and co-founding 40 Acres Investments. She has been a strategic advisor for multiple businesses, a professional speaker, and a dedicated business leader with a passion for paying it forward by uplifting diverse individuals through exposure, access, opportunity, and equity. In addition to her full-time work at The BrandLab, Kelli serves as an executive board member with the Greater Twin Cities United Way.

Specifically, as a biracial woman in marketing who's been in the industry for about 20 years, I've often been the only biracial person or the only person of color in the room. The only biracial woman in leadership. And this has been a very real part of my professional career. So our mission-focused impact of changing both the face and the voice of the marketing industry is one that I know personally.”?

Over the past 20 years, Kelli has worked inside marketing agencies, corporate marketing departments, and as an independent consultant, always leading with a passion for driving business through strategic planning and development. Kelli has been an active supporter of The BrandLab for almost a decade, including recent work to complete The BrandLab’s current strategic plan.
