Understanding Brand Needs in Athlete, Sports Teams, and Event Partnerships

PROTOUCH AFRICA is distributing a 3-part [Athlete, Band and Fan] Survey, designed to better understand and analyse fan demographics and preferences, provide athletes from Africa with crucial insights into their fans, gather insights on what influences brands’ decisions when selecting sponsorships and identify challenges brands are experiencing, when trying to extract value from their investments into sport as well as gather a deeper understanding into the most pressing challenges facing the athletes from Africa.

This is the first survey aimed at BRANDS. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts so that we can uncover the unique challenges and opportunities that brands encounter when sponsoring athletes, sports teams and events in Africa.

Your insights are crucial as we strive to develop tailored resources that can enhance your sponsorship strategies and outcomes across Africa while building our platform to unlock the potential of athletes from Africa. In this survey, we aim to:

IDENTIFY SPONSORSHIP CHALLENGES: Gain a comprehensive understanding of the obstacles brands commonly face in securing and optimising athlete, team and event partnerships particularly in Africa.        
EVALUATE DECISION-MAKING FACTORS: Discover what influences your choices when selecting athletes or events for sponsorship.        
ASSESS BRAND ALIGNMENT: Determine the importance of alignment between athlete values and brand values for successful partnerships.        
EXPLORE VALUE FROM SPONSORSHIPS: Identify how brands perceive the value of various sponsorship activities and what potential improvements can be made.        
UNDERSTAND BUDGET CONSIDERATIONS: Analyse the typical budget ranges brands are willing to invest in sponsorship deals.        
GATHER FEEDBACK ON SUPPORT TOOLS: Explore the effectiveness of platforms that connect brands with suitable athletes and evaluate desired outcomes from these partnerships.
