I love January!!!!!? This is one of my favourite months of the year for so many super-fun reasons!

??The snow is PERFECT for some good cross-country skiing

??It’s a great time to start some new, better habits (and maybe rid myself of some bad ones…)

??New Year, NEW GOALS!

And now?? A brand new newsletter via LinkedIn!

This is my first edition of Brand New YOU, my LinkedIn Newsletter, and I can’t think of a better time to launch it than here in January!!

ICYMI, December was spent getting ready for this new year with a business plan retreat, goal setting galore, and getting ready to hit “refresh” on my LinkedIn profile.? And here in January it’s time for the “rubber to hit the road” and start testing some new LinkedIn and branding theories.

In this first newsletter, I’m testing a whole bunch of stuff, and seeing what resonates with you, my community member.? And that is TRULY the beauty of anything you do to create and curate your personal brand - testing, testing and retesting to find what:?

???works for you

???works for your audience

???works for the time you have to create.

Consistency is the key to any successful branding activity, and creating a newsletter is no different.??

Should you decide to try your hand at a new branding activity in 2022, keep these activity tips in mind:

?? Start small, you can always grow in frequency or length over time

?? Stay consistent - whether once a day, once a week or once a month - find a rhythm that works for your schedule and won’t burn you out - you can always increase as your time, resources, or manpower allows

?? Stay relevant - create content from within your lane, that speaks to your target audience.? This will be the fastest way to create trust with your audience, and create clarity in your offering.

As for this newsletter?? It’ll be consistent, but the playground that is personal branding is very much here as I test features and offers.? Let me know what you think!

You know how on YouTube you can click on a “notifications” bell ??, and you are notified when new content is published by the YouTube user?? Well, now you can be notified of new content on LinkedIn!

??Simply go to someone’s profile, look below their banner on the right-hand side, and voila!? A little bell!

??CLICK ON THE BELL TO BE NOTIFIED OF NEW CONTENT!??

When your person posts new content, you’ll receive a notification in your LinkedIn notifications!

Why is the bell notification such a POWERFUL feature?????

??If part of your LinkedIn strategy is to comment on one’s content, now you know when they post!

??If you’re looking for personal development, reading up on your favourite content creators is a great place to start!

??If you’re looking for content inspiration, be notified of those whose content inspires YOU!

??Want to know when your clients are posting?? Boom, click the bell…

??Want to know when your competitors are posting?? Boom, click the bell….
