Main Purpose

Our client are seeking a passionate and experienced professional to join their dynamic team as an Assistant Head of Department in Construction & Building Services, specifically overseeing Multi-Skills & Trowel Trades. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of education within a thriving and supportive environment.

As the Assistant Head of Department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Department in managing and enhancing the curriculum across our Multi-Skills & Trowel Trades areas, which include Construction Multi-Skills, Property Maintenance Operations, and Bricklaying. You will be instrumental in ensuring that our students receive a high-quality learning experience that fosters achievement and success.

Our client provide a range of employment related training including Full Time Programmes, Apprenticeships, Employability, Adult Learning Loans and work experience opportunities for adults and young people from diverse backgrounds, that will enhance individuals’ employment potential and qualifications. In our most recent Ofsted inspection in we retained our “Good” rating and we are continuously developing and improving our provision.

Main Purpose

  • To generate and secure new business opportunities via apprenticeship vacancies and apprenticeship upskills.
  • To build and maintain relationships with new employers/organisations in order to maximise revenue whilst ensuring that they receive a quality service throughout the engagement process.
  • To challenge all practices and procedures within own role and throughout the organisation and to contribute to and ensure continuous quality improvement.

Early Years Apprenticeship & TA Tutor

Our client share the belief that every child, regardless of their background, should benefit from an excellent education. To achieve that, we support and train the educational professionals who work alongside them to be the best they can be, so in turn, they can transform the lives of children and young people.

This is a home based role with bi-monthly visits to learner locations for necessary observations.

Main Purpose

This post will holistically plan, co-ordinate, mentor and support on training and assessment for apprentices based in the Early Years Education sector from level 2 to level 5 and the Teaching Assistant role. Knowledge and experience from working in the Early Years and or Schools sector will be shared with apprentices to ensure they achieve their programme at the highest possible level and in a timely fashion.

Main Purpose

Our client are seeking an experience Functional Skills Tutor to deliver high-quality training to exceed awarding body quality standards for functional skills, in the workplace or remotely using Teams, as appropriate to the learners’ requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Complete functional skills reviews with learners and identify skill and knowledge gaps
  • Develop and take responsibility for the delivery of individual training plans tailored to learner needs
  • Maintain records relevant to individual learners on Bud
  • Access and work with BKSB software and analytics as applicable
  • Deliver high-quality training to exceed awarding body quality standards for functional skills, in the workplace or remotely using Teams, as appropriate to the learners’ requirements

Caseloads for learners no more than 45, you will be delivering various levels of apprenticeships within Health & Social Care.

The role will be hybrid working; based from home with travel to learners locations bi-monthly. 25% of the role will be tutoring; delivering online workshops mainly to groups but sometimes individuals with the remaining 75% of the role assessing.

Responsibilities

  • Produce a Scheme of work/syllabus and lesson plans which are made available to the Operations Director, any class visitors or inspectors when required.

  • To provide appropriate learner feedback and support and educational advice and information where necessary.
