Electrical Training Officer/ Assessor

Birmingham, West Midlands

We are delighted to be assisting one of our long-standing clients in Birmingham to recruit an Electrical Training Officer/ Assessor within Apprenticeships.

Our client are looking for applicants who have some top notch Electrical Installation experience and qualifications in which they can utilise to assist Apprentices undergoing Level 2 and Level 3 Apprenticeships. This role is not just for experienced and qualifed assessors; this is a perfect starting point for anybody who has experience on the tools who would like to become an Apprenticeship Assessor.

The Training Officers/ Assessors play a vital part within apprenticeship delivery, working with apprentices to complete their NVQ portfolio, assessing evidence and reviewing them regularly. The Training Officer/ Assessor also acts as a mentor and main point of contact for the individual undertaking the apprenticeship.

Local and national travel will be required to review and assess apprentices across the UK, therefore a full, clean driving license and access to a vehicle is essential.

Based from home with travel to visit learners, this post will holistically plan, co-ordinate, mentor and support on training and assessment for apprentices based in the Early Years Education sector from level 2 to level 5 and the Teaching Assistant role. Knowledge and experience from working in the Early Years and or Schools sector will be shared with apprentices to ensure they achieve their programme at the highest possible level and in a timely fashion.

SEND and EHCP Coordinator

We are delighted to be supporting a Norwich based provider of alternative vocational education for young people aged 12-19, to hire a SEND and EHCP Coordinator.

Our client were established in 1965, originally as an accommodation project for the young homeless. In 2004 started to consider how preventative work for the less able could act as a means of providing opportunities that had passed them by.?We opened our vocational learning hub in 2012, providing an alternative learning environment for young people with few or no qualifications. We support those who have experienced problems in life and the traditional education system.

  • Collaborate with parents/carers, educational professionals, health practitioners, and social care professionals to gather information about a child's special educational needs or disabilities (SEND).

  • Conduct assessments and reviews to determine the child's needs and requirements.
  • Coordinate and facilitate multi-disciplinary meetings to develop Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Ensure that EHCPs are person-centred, comprehensive, and meet legal requirements.
  • Act as the central point of contact for parents/carers, professionals, and agencies involved in the EHCP process.

English and Maths Trainer

Nottingham, East Midlands

£25,197 - £30,817 (Dependent on Experience)

We are delighted to be supporting a well established East Midlands based Oftsed graded 'GOOD' training provider to hire a English & Maths Trainer. The role is based in Nottingham with the majority of training delivered mostly, with some occasional travel across the East Midlands area for face to face training.

To deliver English and Maths Functional Skills (and potentially any other qualifications as funding rules change or as required by the company).

The aim is to improve the career prospects and motivation of people from diverse backgrounds, both in the workplace within Apprenticeships and other programmes, and in-house as required.

This can be achieved through one-to-one, group work, structured taught sessions and other innovative activities to achieve nationally recognised qualifications and suitable progression.

Applicants must have

  • Experience of delivering English and maths (entry to level 2)
  • Hold English and maths qualifications at level 2 or above
  • Experience of working with and supporting mixed ability adults and young people whilst maintaining a focus on business needs
  • Experience of dealing with, on occasions, disengaged learners and the classroom management skills to positively engage and motivate them
  • Driving licence and own transport.
