Brand Loyalty, how it comes?

Going through brand recognition stages, i wondered how #brandloyality creepsin. A staunch supporter of a #brand is someone who questioned and tested brand the max.

I observed when a #brand spoke about some #features and #benefits, usually the #consumer who questioned and proved him to be wrong by #brand become the strongest supporter of #brand. Usually our elephant brain associate any new thing ( weather brand or product ) approached with something out of its experience and preconceived thoughts takes in. So the first reaction is denial or confrontation which is questioning the fundamentals with with nearest similar #brands. That was the point brand or the representing salesman need to prove that #customer is wrong or how the proposed brand is better associated with the personality of the customer and add value to it. WOW only comes out when his past assumption or association is broken and his elephant brain accepts it as new reality. That is where new #brand support is created and positive word of mouth start spreading. In this concept, there has to be visibly differentiable feature associated with the product or brand to give the level of satisfaction. So key thing is "surprise".

Years back, i saw someone pitching a solar light developed where the product was long lasting and tough due its use of LED technologies. The usual perception at that time was "lighting products are delicate - due to extensive use of glass at that time". So the first feature the salesman pitched was - "sir it can withstand a fall from roof height and he tossed the light which on falling to hard ground and not breaking brings wow to the consumer and created instant acceptance. The light become popular due to its features and it created many user in that village. Great example of a new brand establishing itself.
