BRAND IDENTITY VS CORPORATE IDENTITY

 What are the difference between brand identity and corporate identity? I always confuse about the definition and their concepts. However, I made some readings and came up with several differences that might help to understand the concept better. Please correct me if this information is inaccurate.

Brand identity and corporate identity correlate with each other. The predominant difference between brand identity and corporate identify is the focus; brand identity focuses on the external part of particular organization or company involving customer’s experience and perception towards the brand meanwhile corporate identity focuses internal part of the organization or company focusing on the mindset of the stakeholders.

Brand identity is all about how an organization or company ought to be perceived by their audience. If the company failed to create a positive brand identity, the customer will subconsciously do not trust the company. It is all about the portrayal of the brand either their personality, culture, and image to the audience. It is the message that their customers receive from the company brand. Maintaining this message is predominantly essential for brand to be consistent with the purpose that their target market will consistently recognize and concede their brand and subconsciously be a loyal customer to the brand.

However, corporate identity is actually the visual manifestation of the company conveyed such as the name, logo, motto, product, uniform and etc. Corporate identity can also consist of how the company manage their corporate culture, corporate design and corporate communication within the company. The corporate identity can be perceived within three major perspectives; visual identification, organizational identity and also the corporate identity itself. What do you think?
