The Why Behind BrainWave...

So much news happens in the Neurotech industry. I noticed an unmet need to centralize all the brilliant updates in the industry and to build a community of people passionate about all things Neuro.

With news being shared across multiple websites, tradeshows/events, social media platforms, and of course, through interactions with candidates and clients in the industry, there is plenty to share each month. However, I couldn't find a place where all this news was centralized. BrainWave changes that.

Product Launches and Regulatory Approvals

• 美敦力 have received FDA approval for the Inceptiv closed loop spinal cord stimulator device. This is the first Medtronic device to offer closed-loop technology for the treatment of #chronicpain David Carr Medtronic will initiate the US launch of Inceptiv in the coming weeks.
• NeuroVigil, Inc. launches its non invasive iBrain Personal Brain Monitor in 4 US states - The portable device will target Parkinsons patients in 2nd Phase. Dr. Philip Low
• WAT Medical Enterprise secures FDA clearance for its wearable anti-migraine device for OTC use.
• Nexalin Technology secures US patent for their DBS device Gen-3 HALO Clarity - the non invasive deep brain stimulation device is designed to treat anxiety, depression and insomnia. Mark White
• Epitel announced the FDA clearance of two ground-breaking technologies the REMI Remote EEG Monitoring System and REMI Vigilenz AI for Event Detection.Mark Lehmkuhle
• NICO Corporation recently announced the launch of the new Myriad SPECTRA technology after 3 years of development! The SPECTRA is a hand-held device that can be used for fluorescence-guided surgery with both blue and white light options. #braintumor Jim Pearson

• Inner Cosmos human trials show promise for depression treatment. Meron Gribetz shared fantastic news this month reporting positive outcomes with their less invasive skull-embedded device. Preliminary data indicates it's as effective as, if not more than TMS.
• Bottneuro AG has concluded their first clinical trial with the MINDSTIM thanks to 8 volunteers. Using MRI scans from each participant, a 34-channel Miamind? Neurostimulator tailored to their needs, along with a personalized tACS therapy, was custom-designed and produced using 3D printing technology. • Neuronoff, Inc. has completed their first-in human trial of the injectrode for minimally invasive chronic pain. Manfred Franke
• NeuraStasis is enrolling subjects in clinical trials - their key focus to improve stroke patient recovery Kirt Gill, MD
• Academic Emergency Medicine have published the first official results from the Episode pilot study revealing that MindRhythm, Inc. Harmony device is a feasible prehospital tool to reliably identify #LVO stroke. John Keane
• DiaMedica Therapeutics Inc. announces first patient dosed in Relaunch of its Pivotal Phase 2/3 ReMEDy2 Trial of DM199 for the treatment of acute ischemic stroke. Rick Pauls

• alphabeats has now opened up their pre-sale of their neurotech wearable for athletes in the US. Using the power of music-driven neurofeedback, their aim is to enhance mental performance, focus, and recovery for athletes with the help of alphabeats EEG headband and app. Han Dirkx
• AURIMOD GmbH have partnered with Nervovita Medical Technologies - tVNS Türkiye to introduce the VIVO product to the Turkish market! Stefan Kampusch
• Robeauté won first place in the Digital Health & Medical Devices track and then came second in the final round taking home a €30K cash prize! Joana Cartocci Bertrand Duplat
• BackStop Neural and Connie Manz won the top award at University of Texas at Dallas' 2024 Big Idea Competition
• The Federal Trade Commission has voted to ban non-compete agreements across the United States. This historic announcement made today in Washington signifies that companies will no longer have the authority to enforce such agreements. The rule will come into effect in 6 months with existing non-competes becoming unenforceable. Non-competes for executives who earn more than $152,164 a year in a "policy making position" can remain in place.
