Just like a surgical strike operation is not meant to kill the patient but to precisely cure him, fighting against Adharma is the duty of a Kshatriya even if all these things are temporary. To protect yourself or to give protection to people and fight against injustice is not bad. It is your Swadharma to protect yourself and other people from harm. In Shrimad Bhagwad Gita also Shri Krishna says to Arjuna- SBG 2.31 Considering your specific duty as Kshatriya, you should know that there is no better engagement for you than fighting on religious principles and so there is no need for hesitation.
Fight for injustice but don’t be attached to the result as Shri Krishna says- SBG 2.38 Do thou fight for the sake of fighting, without considering happiness or distress, loss or gain, victory or defeat- and by so doing, you shall never incur sin. Firstly, we must better our understanding of ‘Moh/Maya.’ I would like to quote Adi Shankaracharya here, “ Jaggan Mithya “ which means that the “World is a Myth.” ‘Moha’ literally means greed and ‘Maya’ is a huge concept in itself. For the sake of simplicity lets classify it as ‘worldly pleasures that excites a person to struggle in order to satisfy his sensory pleasures.’ ‘Maya’ is based on an individual’s understanding of the world. It is basically the physical world as projected by your own mind. (eg. Maya/world may seem happy, if your perspective towards it is such that arises happiness, otherwise, it is sad or, disastrous, etc). So, we may conservatively infer that Maya is one’s perspective towards the world.
Now coming to second half of the question, why to fight for injustice. Though everything in The End (i.e. when we will reach to self-realisation stage) world will appear unreal, but till then everything is as real as it is happening. Here, be very careful of what do you mean by injustice. In Mahabharat, Arjun didn’t fight for the kingdom but he fought for dharma, an ideology which propounds self-lessness and the philosophy of larger good and victory of ideology that takes one Godward (Sat).
And assuming, that even though we don’t have such a historical fight (having huge repercussions) to face; to fight against injustice is our first dharma ( Subhash chandra Bose rightly said “ The one who tolerates injustice is a bigger criminal than the one who inflicts it.”) So, to maintain or attain the correct balance in the world as it exists today, we need to stand up for our own justice, it can also in construed as working towards attaining the just and abstain from thinking that automatically everything will be solved.
Remember, “ If World today is in a sad state, then its because the good people choose to be silent and recede their efforts and the bad keep doing what they do.” The term real is used in a technical sense in Hindu Darshana. It means eternal or permanent. So when one says that the universe is unreal what is meant is that the universe will not remain in this form permanently. You are asking why we should fight injustice if all of this isn’t real. Our body-mind complex is also not real since it will not exist permanently. Should we stop eating because our body-mind complex is not permanent? The answer is obviously no. Similarly we should do our best by serving others and if necessary fight injustice during our brief existence.

Every one, to be sure, has to decide right in the beginning whether he is in a play ground or involved in a serious affair. There is beautiful story told to bring home the meaning of this thought. A teacher taught a disciple to take every one to be only Narayan, God. The student was once walking in a street where a mad elephant was being tried to be driven out by its master with a warning to the passers by to keep away. The half learnt lesion of the student proved to be a fallacy as he walked straight towards the newly found Avtar of God ( elephant) but was thrown away by the elephant through his trunk.
He thereafter approached his teacher why the elephant- God so thrashed him? The teacher asked, ' if you were trying to see God in the elephant, how you forgot not to find Him in the master of the elephant who was warning you to keep away? How can you be so selective about the one Absolute Truth on your own?' Krishna's teachings that way are two pronged. He is on the Absolute footing when He reveals secrets of Creation, but He also suggests techniques of proper actions on the relative ground. He is, however, all assuring on both the counts. Krishna never advises any one to be neglecting his worldly obligations. He, as a matter of fact, combines the reality of the matter with spirit by establishing harmony between the two.
Traditionally, Vedanta philosophy was understood to be the faith of the renunciates and recluse. Shri Krishna, on the other hand, has made it a behavioural science for the whole humanity to follow. Karma sanyasa is preached not escaping from duties. Karma sanyasa is preached not escaping from duties. It's our duty to attend every thing and every thing in creation is a maya. Now, be a spectator (sakshi) and perform knowing all your actions and deeds including the thoughts. This helps to realise that this flesh and bone body of five elements composite is different to the inner self. On attending all karmas being sakshi, one may realize the maya and can help self to keep away from unwanted karma.
As per my Guru, being sakshi booth, helps one to burn sanchitha karma while performing praarabdha karma with zero aagami karma. Having zero aagami karma means the soul is freed from cycle of death and births. Unless sanchita karma is completed the life cycle continue till whole of papa punya are completely enjoyed. Prarabdha is present state, and being sakshi bhoot one can keep away from Maya but not reality. Best example is I got slapped with an FIR, it's reality but I just has not reacted to this being a sakshi and over a period of time the case is closed. 2 年Brahma Satyam---Superb post, Kishore. Ordinary people like us will never experience this truth. Even Swami Vivekananda used to make a mockery of this concept but his Guru proved the scriptural truth to him through mere touch. Vivekananda experienced this phenomenon for the next couple of days he was the road, he was the railing, he was the bus, he was the plate, he was the food. What an amazing experience it must have been.
