Pankaj was looking forward to meeting the teachers of his elder one. Like all the parents who had children preparing for their competitive exams he too had been eager to know how she was doing and more than it, how she should be preparing herself for these exams. The moment he shared this query to the class teacher, she smiled and started the story...
One day Lord Brahma was watching humans the epitome of his creating struggling on Earth, feeling pity, he immediately shared the Brahm Gyan – the eternal knowledge which could make their life easy. He was sure the humans would be utilising it for leading a happy life and praising him till eternity for sharing this blessing. However, neither the humans used it nor thanked him for this wealth of knowledge, which infuriated Lord Brahma, who immediately thought of taking away it. Nevertheless, the knowledge once given couldn’t be taken back it could only be hidden away. Now the question was where to hide it, as humans had the capability and capacity to go to any length to find it. Lord Brahma thought of burying it deep in the land or hiding it in the depth of ocean or may be placing it in some remote corner of the space, nonetheless he knew, discovering it would just be a matter of time. After a lot of thought he got the idea to hide it in a place where they wouldn’t look for. Lord Brahma smiling hid the Brahm Gyaan at the very place no one looks in for – inside their own brains.
Returning to Pankaj the teacher asked, “You too had appeared in this exam, how did you approached it back then?” “I covered all the basics – being mindful when attending the class, having an action plan covering the prescribed books, setting up goals while studying and finally when in doubt immediately rather than waiting till the end”, Pankaj said. Not being completely satisfied, the teacher kept her gaze on Pankaj as if he has forgotten something very important. ?“How could I forget, putting efforts consistently no matter whether you are making progress or not”, Pankaj announced emphatically. “We love the idea of novelty and are always looking for that breakthrough way to get successful, yet it has been always in front of us – covering the basics consistently”, said the class teacher and bade goodbye to Pankaj. ?
