Bragging vs. Branding
There’s a fine line between flexing and forging an identity. Bragging is about the past, where you’ve been, what you’ve done, and how you once peaked in high school. Personal branding, however, is about the present and future, who you are now and aiming to become.
Bragging says, “I became class president.” Branding says, “I lead with integrity.” One seeks validation; the other builds value. One screams for attention; the other attracts opportunities.
So next time you post that LinkedIn update, ask yourself: Are you celebrating growth or just flashing a greatest hits album? Because the future deserves fresh tracks.
