Brad announces the availability of Lora2db, its open source software for IoT data collection

Lora2db, developed and deployed internally, allows to easily connect to the platforms of Lorawan access providers such as Orange or The Things Industries retrieve time-series data transmitted by connected objects, such as the Brad probe.
This data can then be reprocessed and enriched through application middleware to then be saved in dedicated databases such as #InfluxDB from InfluxData and #Timestream from Amazon Web Services (AWS) .
The software can be deployed as a #container service, directly or via a #Kubernetes cluster or in #serverless mode on Amazon #ECS.
A first publication and planned sequels
The publication of this first free software, used daily by the company in its #cloud infrastructure, marks the fulfillment of a commitment made during the Salon de l'Agriculture 2023 on the stage of La Ferme Digitale as part of the launch of the OSFARM initiative of #agtech startups promoting open source.
With this contribution to the acceleration of the #Agritech ecosystem, Brad wants to leverage on open and shared software bricks to create a community of users, capable of contributing to maintaining and enriching the code and usages.
An upcoming open hardware initiative
Brad is also leading a project to promote the interoperability of data, from the sensor to the Cloud in order to offer a universal #hardware interface allowing ultimately "plug & play" connectivity of third-party sensors directly to the probe, the ascent and the updating disposition of their data.
The same objective is at work here: to encourage the emergence of players within the framework of strong interoperability, in the service of precision agriculture and the agricultural transition.
