BPS Psychology of Sexualities 20th Anniversary Conference 1998 -2018
Reflecting Back, Looking Forwards
You are warmly invited to submit your abstract to this two-day conference which will celebrate twenty years since the Psychology of Sexualities Section (or the Lesbian & Gay Psychology Section as it was then) was founded. The environment is friendly and supportive. Past attendees have included practitioners, charitable organisations, academics and students.
The conference is taking place on Thursday 5th and Friday 6th July 2018 at The British Psychological Society’s London Office, 30 Tabernacle Street, London, EC2A 4UE. London Pride will take place on 7th July so come and make a weekend of it!
We welcome submissions for workshops, oral presentations, Pecha Kucha style five-minute oral presentations, and poster presentations on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:
- LGBTQ+ (GSDR) experiences, identities, relationships, communities and health
- Non-monogamies
- Sexual fluidity
- Asexuality
- Representations and marginalisation of LGBTQ+ identities (e.g. homo/bi/transphobia, heterosexism, cisgenderism etc)
- Feminist, queer and other approaches to sexualities
The NEW submission deadline is midnight on Sunday 29th April 2018, and is open to members of the Society and non-members including submissions from organisations and individuals.
