On June 21, BPIA President Alexandria J. Maloney presented to National leadership on collaborative opportunities between the Links, Incorporated and Black Professionals in International Affairs with the National-level LIFE Program.
Since 2023, BPIA's signature Madam Ambassador International Career Exposure Program has been funded by the generous contribution of the Arlington (VA) Chapter of the Links Incorporated that exposes girls ages 13-21 to careers in international affairs.
During the 44th National Assembly, President Maloney expressed the global impact of the Links, Incorporated and the importance of building and preparing the next generation of Black leaders in foreign affairs. She also expressed the challenges in representation and leadership ranks that Black women in particular face in the foreign affairs space and how organizations like the Links, Incorporated and BPIA can help to close the gap.
It was announced that BPIA will be supporting the National-level L.I.F.E. program, that introduces high school students to careers in international business and foreign affairs. BPIA will supports Links chapters nationally with a speakers bureau database of foreign affairs experts.
