Note from the Chair
I’m pleased to be taking over the responsibility of Chair from Izzy who has done an amazing job over the last few years, championing all our voices within BPF Futures. I look forward to building on the strong foundations that are already in place and creating a better built environment. It’s been a busy first month as Chair, with the BPF Annual Conference, London Summer Social and our regular Advisory Board and corporate contacts meetings. It was great to meet and talk to so many of you, and I look forward to meeting more of you at our upcoming events.
We also had a blog written by BPF Futures member Holly Thomas about her experience on joining the BPF Development Committee which is well worth a read if you are ever interested in joining a committee.? There’s a lot to look out for this month, our affordable housing webinar and second Policy Congress are fast approaching with tickets going very quickly, and registrations for the MIPIM Challengers launch event have now opened. Also, in case you missed it, our webinar on Labour's first 100 days is now available to watch on demand as well. We also have an exclusive opportunity for you to get your hands on tickets to the SPF annual dinner. Check out our upcoming events and opportunities below, and as always, reach out to us if you have any feedback or ideas.?
Best wishes,
Gafar

Getting Involved
BPF Futures at the BPF Annual Conference?
On 2 July, we were delighted to attend the BPF Annual Conference. The theme this year was ‘Building Our Future’ and BPF Futures voices were at the heart of the conference.
Advisory Board Members Abigail Heraty, Kirsten Hald and Craig Worman participated in the 'building our future talent' panel, talking about the priorities for the next generation of leaders in the industry.?
Sarah Thorley, who won our keynote speaker competition, spoke passionately about social mobility and how critical it is to provide routes for young people to work in the property sector.
Our Chair, Gafar Fashola , closed the conference by speaking about BPF Futures. We now have over 2,400 members, 14 advisory board members, and 25 corporate contacts who advocate for and shape the work of the community. Also, we have more members than ever on BPF policy committees. Gafar took a moment to celebrate our achievements and then outlined our ambitious plans for the future.

Hosted by AIMCo and Quadrant, the event took place at the beautiful Osmo building in Battersea where members were able to network and have drink as the sun went down. It was a great opportunity to connect with the community, and we are already looking forward to the next one!? ?
