BP and TotalEnergies to Pay Billions to Build Wind Farms Offshore Germany
bp and TotalEnergies are the winners of the latest offshore wind auction in Germany. Each company has secured rights to develop two offshore wind zones (4 GW for bp and 3 GW for TotalEnergies). But the wins have come with quite a price. EUR 12.6 billion combined to be exact.
The Albanese Government has officially declared Australia’s second offshore wind zone in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of the New South Wales (NSW) Hunter region which has the potential to accommodate up to 5 GW of offshore wind capacity.
Eolus Vind has applied for a permit to build a wind farm off the western coast of Sweden. The project, named V?stvind, is planned to have up to 50 wind turbines with a maximum height of 320 metres and an installed capacity of 1,000 MW.

1 年Superb. I think I made a comment earlier about "Beyond Petroleum" marketing campaign from the past......but this does look like the real deal - and why not? BP and other oil companies do have expertise in offshore drilling platforms - offshore wind slightly different - but the differences are not drastic
