BDP’s design for BOXPARK Birmingham has officially been given the green light, marking a transformative moment for the city’s iconic Digbeth district.


Set within the historic Floodgate Street railway arches, this ambitious project will redefine the area, blending its industrial past with a bold new vision for community spaces. As part of an ongoing partnership with BOXPARK, following successful projects in Croydon, Wembley, and Liverpool, this latest development promises to create a dynamic hub for events, independent businesses, and cultural experiences.

2) The University of Warwick launches unprecedented capital investment

BDP’s plans for The University of Warwick’s STEM Connect Programme, part of the £700m Connect Programme have been unveiled.

As the lead consultant and principal designer, BDP worked in partnership with the University to design a vision for sustainable campus facilities to enhance excellence in teaching, collaboration, research, and innovation for the benefit of students, staff and the regional economy.


The STEM Connect Programme will activate more cross disciplinary collaboration and enable industry partners to work more effectively with staff and students. It will help better engage the public and future collaborators across pioneering research, education, and innovation.

The new plans will revitalise the heart of the University campus, enhance connectivity and improve collaboration between departments.

3) Sustainable mass transit in Asia

With more than 60 percent of the world’s population residing in Asia, the need for sustainable transport solutions has never been more critical.?


Transport development in Asia is complex. It necessitates the need for collaborative strategies that involve multiple stakeholders, such as national and local governments who play a critical role in fostering sustainable transport and communities who ensure that transport solutions meet local needs and ensure public buy-in.

4) BDP completes cultural transformation of Geylang Serai in Singapore

BDP and its partners have completed the reimagination of the popular Geylang Serai cultural belt in Singapore. The transformation has revitalised this historic area into a modern, vibrant destination that blends rich Malay heritage with contemporary urban spaces, catering to local communities and visitors.


The Geylang Serai cultural belt, which is renowned for its deep-rooted Malay culture and heritage, has undergone a comprehensive update for 21st Century Singapore city life. The project has introduced a series of enhancements to improve connectivity with the city, including improvements to existing cycling lanes, new sheltered areas, and expansive green spaces, all designed to enrich the experience of the public realm and bring a wider community in.
