DONATE HERE,?help us raise $30,000 by June 30, and assist those struggling in?these tough times
The Bower helps those in desperate need during these difficult days, by providing them with free quality furnishings and household items that otherwise were destined to have been thrown away. We need your help to raise $30,000 by 30 June?to reach our goal, and assist 50 individuals and families in desperate need – refugees, homeless, survivors of domestic violence and those who have fallen on hard times.
The Bower’s?‘House to Home’ and?Homekeeper?programs assist people such as Maxine who have been made homeless, had to escape violence?or have fallen on hard times, often in situations where they cannot take furniture and?home?comforts with them from their previous accommodation.?
Our assistance?is designed to aid those who fall through the cracks, and often aren't eligible or only able to receive limited assistance from other community services.
While a roof over one’s head and food to eat are vital, the Bower provides other items essential to a person’s wellbeing – sometimes a bed, a wardrobe, a dining table, a washing machine, a kettle, some crockery, warm clothes, rugs and blankets – whatever is needed to make the person feel they have a?home?which is safe and comfortable..
For example: Just a $10 donation?would?help a person in need get a kettle to make a cuppa each morning
$30?donation?would get a homeless person transitioning to longterm?accommodation a bedside table

$100?would fund a sofa (and armchairs), bed or dining table (and chairs) for a refugee family from Ukraine starting a new life
$120??would get a fridge for someone moving out of crisis accommodation
$1000?would fund a whole?home's worth of furniture and household items for a family who have escaped domestic violence.
We are now receiving an increasing number of requests for help from families suffering serious hardship and pressures, due to rapidly rising costs and economic strain . Help ensure we can meet those requests through these tough times.
Please make a tax deductibe donation?of whatever you can today.
Help us raise $30,000?before the end of June, to allow us to help more than 50 people in need this winter and over the next 12 months through our homekeeper and ‘house?to?home’ programs.
