Bouygues Energies & Services proudly support Leith Athletic Football Club?
At Bouygues Energies & Services, we are passionate about engaging with local communities. Our colleagues work hard to uphold this value by supporting their local area and initiatives. We are proud to highlight the contribution of our colleague Bobbie Young and his significant impact with Leith Athletic Football Club in South East Scotland.??
Leith Athletic F.C. was established in 1887 and they compete in the East of Scotland football league in the first division. For Bobbie Young, the club holds significant importance. Starting with the club at youth level in 2001, Bobbie played with the team until moving into coaching in 2010, just as his son began his own footballing journey at the same club. Bobbie has been involved with the club for the majority of his adult life and to this day continues to be involved with the club as the head coach of two youth teams and as a board committee member for the club.??
Through his close links with the club, we were able to act as the official sponsor and kit provider for Leith Athletic F.C. U13s. Bobbie Young highlighted the importance of the club to the local community:
“Grassroots football is massively important in communities all over the country. Not only does it keep kids off the streets, it gives them a focus and a purpose to learn and keep active. The learning side of it isn’t just football skills and development, alongside this they are also learning life skills along the way whilst being part of a welcoming and family-like environment.”??- Bobbie Young
