In honor of Bourbon Recognition Month, September, I'm going to try to post a little ditty about the dram each day.

A while back, most thought 'bourbon' had to be made in Kentucky or Tennessee.(confusing to start)
Most understand there is no such thing as a bourbon made outside of the United States.
Why? Branding, that's why.
Today, bourbon comes out of just about every corner of the country - not sure about Alaska, but if it can, it will.
The country of origin distinction came from a 1964 congressional resolution that declared bourbon whiskey as “a distinctive product of the United States that is unlike other types of alcoholic beverages, whether foreign or domestic.”
