Futureproof Your IoT Deployment for SGP.32

The GSMA has developed a new Remote SIM Provisioning Standard called SGP.32 to support constrained devices and simplify integrations between providers. Let’s explore some of the benefits it brings for IoT:?

  1. Removes requirement for SMS support, so remote SIM provisioning can be used with NB-IoT devices.?
  2. Includes provision for the eIM to act as an intermediary for devices that use lightweight protocols such as CoAP and LwM2M or that can’t use HTTP to connect to the internet
  3. Includes requirements to minimize device communications and allow devices to operate asynchronously in case they’re sleeping when commands are sent to them.?
  4. Simplifies integrations between providers to avoid the provider lock-in experienced with the M2M standard.?

SGP.32 will be increasingly used in place of the M2M standard for new IoT deployments.??

That’s why together with Thales we have developed the first market-ready SGP.32 eSIM platform to meet your IoT needs for today and tomorrow.?

Switching connectivity providers has never been easier than with Thales Adaptive Connect which provides your eSIM-based devices with out-of-the-box connectivity and remote SIM provisioning capabilities.??
