Bouncing Back

Bouncing Back

Life's a rollercoaster, isn't it? Especially in the tech and sales world. One moment you're on top, and the next, you're trying to figure out what went wrong. That's where I found myself recently. For those who've been following my updates on LinkedIn, you'd know that Air IT and I parted ways. The reason? My sales numbers. They weren't where they needed to be. I was at 75% for the year, and in sales, numbers are everything.

The drive home after that news was tough. All sorts of thoughts raced through my mind. Did I fail? After such a high in my personal life – getting hitched this year – this felt like a massive low. But here's the thing about lows: they make the highs even sweeter. And they teach you a thing or two about bouncing back.

The days after weren't easy, but they were enlightening. The amount of support I received was overwhelming. Job offers started pouring in, and it seemed like every recruiter out there wanted to have a chat. It was a reminder that even when things don't go as planned, opportunities can pop up when you least expect them.

But what truly warmed my heart were the messages from the folks at Air IT. From the CEO to the sales director, everyone had words of encouragement. And then there were messages from my old clients. Knowing that they valued our time together and had faith in my abilities gave me the boost I needed.

Now, let's talk about 'Tech Talk with Andy Newbrook', my newsletter. I've always been passionate about cybersecurity. Through my newsletter, I've tried to share tips and tricks to keep your business and home safe. Right now, I'm in a spot where I can't offer direct help. But that doesn't mean 'Tech Talk' is going anywhere. I've got a bunch of mates in the IT world, real experts, who can help out. So, while I figure out my next move, the newsletter will keep going. I believe in it, and I know it's helped many of you. And I promise, it'll continue to do so.

The start of this week might have been rough, but I'm not one to stay down. I've taken a few days, thought things over, and I'm back, ready to take on the world. Every message, every call, every offer – they've all played a part in getting me back on my feet. So, a massive thank you to everyone who's been a part of my journey, especially those who've been reading 'Tech Talk' and those who reached out recently. Your support means more than words can express.

To sum it up, life throws curveballs. Sometimes you see them coming, sometimes you don't. But it's not about the curveballs; it's about how you handle them. This recent experience has taught me that with the right attitude, a bit of self-belief, and a circle of amazing friends and colleagues, there's no challenge too big.

This is just a chapter in my story. There's a lot more to come. I'm excited about the future, about new opportunities, and about continuing to share my journey with all of you. So, here's to rolling with the punches, to new beginnings, and to always moving forward. Cheers!
