Bottom Shelf Bourbon
In honor of Bourbon Recognition Month, September, I'm going to post a little ditty about the dram each day.
Cheers.

This is fact. I avoided Jack Daniels for years, tasting 400 plus other whiskeys and bourbons. One day I want back to the black and Wow. Sure, it isn't a high-proof, rye explosion, but I swear JD tastes the same as it did in 1979. And I discovered layers of flavors that my palate didn't get earlier.
an "expensive" whiskey is a subjective idea, since every individual has a different price range and idea of what constitutes cheap or pricey.
Also - today's pricing is over the top.
Cheers!
Funny thing - I drank Jack and Coke for years before really discovering what Irish Whiskey had to offer. Yellow Spot was my first love in 2012. Then a work colleague asked me if I ever tried Maker’s, I immediately said no and shunned the thought of Bourbon altogether. A few minutes later I relented and tried it. WOW - I didn’t know what I didn’t know. Now I am a Irish Whiskey and Bourbon drinker and collector. While I have all the entry level participants, when I see something special in my mind (Blood Oath, Midwinters Night Dram, etc). if I can swing it, I get two - drink one, save one. Over 12 years I have collected too many and it is time to start drinking them all and give samples to all my friends that enjoy a good dram.
