Bottled Water's Impact On Environment.

Many of us buy packaged drinking water without even giving it a second thought. But it may not be the wisest choice not for your health but also the environment and wildlife as many plastic bottles land up at beaches and even choke waste water.

Contaminated bottled water can harm your health, including causing gastrointestinal illness, reproduction problem and neurological disorder. Infants, young children, pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened system maybe more likely to get sick from some contaminants.

It would take about 1000 years for a plastic bottle to decompose and in the meantime plastic pollutes its surrounding environment. Due to plastic pollution 100 thousand marine animals are killed each year. There is also another reason why you should not waste your money on plastic bottled.

The water bottling process releases 2.5 million tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere annually. Disposable water bottle waste washes into the ocean and kills 1.1 million marine creature each year.

Bottled water has several environment impacts that can contribute to various issues:

1.???Production and transportation: the production of plastic bottles and the transportation of water from the bottling facility to the retail store or consumer’s home require a significant amount of energy, which contributes to greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution.

To mitigate these impacts individuals can reduce their consumption of bottled water and choose reusable options like refills water bottles. Companies can also invest in sustainable production practices and packing alternatives, such as biodegradable or compostable materials. Additionally governments can regulate the production and sale of bottled water and incentive the use of bottled water and incentives the use of more sustainable alternatives.
