The BoTree Hotel, London

The BoTree Hotel, London

Early access, hard hat tour review, September 2023

The BoTree, scheduled to open on the 15th September 2023, is named after the Bodhi Tree, under which Buddha is said to have attained enlightenment.

This is going to be a beautiful hotel!!

The site visit was a hard hat tour, lots left to do pre-opening, with many hands on the deck, but you can sense the style coming through already.

Email me your venue requirements/brief to?[email protected]?and I’ll email venue options to your inbox.

Location wise the hotel is on Marylebone Lane near to Oxford Street, the closest tube station is Bond Street, literally a handful of steps away.

Accommodation

This five-star, conscious luxury hotel will have 199 bedrooms (of which there will be 30 suites), many rooms, potentially as many as 56 rooms, will be interconnecting.

Some of the rooms were ready for us to view.? The entry level rooms feel spacious for their size and are cleverly designed so you can close off the sections behind you as you enter the room giving the feeling of additional privacy, sectioning off the reception/entrance, lounge or wardrobe area and bedroom using sliding partitioning

The rooms are all colourful and comfortable in design and as you move up the categories the treats are obvious with the suites having a mix of lounge, balcony, personal bar, or integrated cocktail station.

The Presidential Suite, which will obviously be the hotels largest suite will have its own private elevator, guest entrance and outdoor terrace.

Dining

The hotel will have two restaurants, one ground floor level, the other on the rooftop; a live music club; a boutique screening room and fitness centre.

The hotels main bar, the BoTree Bar is just off reception, to the right of the entrance.? We only have CGI images for now, but the curve of the bar can be seen and draws you into the space and there will be a mood enhancing colour changing light feature across the ceiling.

Lavo is the hotels Italian signature restaurant, complete with a skylight atrium with an olive tree in the two-story dining room.

The restaurant can be taken exclusively, capacity seated is x 117 downstairs and x 120 upstairs, access is from within the hotel but there is also street access too.

Adjacent to the restaurant are two private dining rooms, holding 20 in each maximum or 40 combined.

Details of the rooftop offering are still to be unveiled and potentially this space won’t be available until late summer next year, but we do know that there will be both indoor and outdoor space, capacity will be in the region of 150 guests but could be larger, subject to final configuration and how much use of the space will be needed for back of house, etc.

It will have a wraparound terrace on at least three sides.

The hotel will have a 36-seater cinema / screening room and …

A two-story live music venue, the upper level being a mezzanine style space with stairs leading down to the main bar and venue.

Maximum capacity is circa x 400 (potential as many as 600), opening in February/March 2024, possibly with a licence until 4am.

Unfortunately the photos and imagery I have are all of the working progress and, while the hotel is in the process of opening, we’re expecting updates in terms of opening dates, capacities, etc.

What else do we know?

The hotel will have a pool on the 10th floor and a state-of-the-art gym on the B1/B2 level, and it will be beautiful.

It’s positioned as a village feel, vibe set in Marylebone, Mayfair and Covent Garden neighbourhoods, where international business delegates mingle with locals at the bar, over fine dining, over rooftop views or in the live music venue.

What next ….

I specialise in venue’s for events.

Drop me details of what you’re looking for in a venue for your next event or just what you need, it can be basic or bold, I really don’t mind.
