9 年Nice article Ed. Making the problem even more complication, New Jersey doesn't have its own innocent spouse program. In other words, if there are joint NJ Tax issues then there is no way for the "innocent spouse" to be freed from the tax obligation without the other spouse agreeing to take care of it.
