Bosnian Klepe (Dumplings) with Butter Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
For the Dumplings:
300g all-purpose flour
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon salt
100ml water (adjust as needed)
300g ground meat (Lamb, or your choice)
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Butter Sauce:
100g unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced (optional)
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
For Serving:
Plain yogurt (for dipping)

In a skillet, heat a little olive oil and sauté the chopped onion until translucent. Add the ground meat, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until the meat is browned. Set aside to cool.
In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the egg and water. Mix until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface until smooth. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Roll out the dough thinly and cut into circles (about 7-10 cm in diameter).
Place a teaspoon of the meat filling in the center of each circle. Fold over and pinch the edges to seal tightly, creating a half-moon shape.
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the dumplings in batches for about 5-7 minutes, or until they float to the surface. Remove and drain.
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the minced garlic, if using, and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat.
Serve:
Arrange the klepe on a plate and drizzle generously with the butter sauce. Garnish with chopped parsley.

Plating: Serve the klepe on an elegant plate, with the buttery sauce glistening on top. Place a small bowl of plain yogurt alongside for dipping.
