Borrowed Earth
As a child,
I never ventured into the wild.
I still did see lot greenery,
That made a wonderful scenery.
Bath was with a bucket and a mug,
In winter, follow with a thick blanket to tug.
Summer was not as hot,
Play started at mid-afternoon on the dot.
A different now is earth,
Places with water dearth.
Seasons are more severe,
Summers have temperature to fear.

Winters are cold very,
And not easy to make throughout merry.
Is a word right, "sustain"
What exactly does it tell the brain?
Is it only sufficient to maintain,
Or do we need a higher value attain?
Do we not need word another?
To protect us and future generations on our earth mother.

4 个月Thank you Harjinder Singh for sharing such a thoughtful and reflective post. Your perspective on sustainability truly resonates. Beyond merely sustaining, we should indeed strive for regenerative practices that not only maintain but actively restore and enhance our environment. The concept of regenerative" rather than just "sustainable" emphasizes our role in healing and improving the earth for future generations. ??
