With the continuous development and upgrading of the demand from the downstream application end of recycled PET flakes, the requirements for the proportion of impurities remaining in the finished products, such as labels, PVC content, powder, etc., are becoming increasingly stringent. Currently, the de-labeling process in the cleaning industry mainly removes labels through equipment such as label removers, flotation washers, and air separators. Through our visits to different recyclers in the industry, we found that the impurity content in the finished PET, or the content of PVC and floating impurities, still exceeds the standard from time to time, resulting in unstable quality. The remaining small, sinking labels lead to the failure of the final product to meet the quality standards. The excessive PVC content is fatal to the production of downstream superfine denier filaments. Boretech has developed a label separation device that can accurately and quickly sort residual labels for the removal of heat-shrinkable labels. This device has been verified by our clients’ recycling plants and has been put into use on the recycling and cleaning line of PET bottles, greatly improving the label removal effect.
