The Boredom Breakthrough
As someone who loves new things, it can often be hard for me to stick with any one thing for an extended period of time.?
Perhaps you can relate.?
I like to try the specials at restaurants, new products and services, and anything that catches my attention from a branding perspective.?
Over the years one of the biggest lessons I have learned about this thirst for novelty is that it can be a blessing as well as curse.?
When you have an eye for innovation it can make it so that you find a lot of great ideas and see new angles for things...
BUT?
It can also mean that you get bored easily and start looking for new things when something gets challenging- Especially business.?
So how did I get over my own shiny object syndrome when it came to my business and how can you do the same?
?Don't be afraid to be bored.?
If you repeat something over and over or spend time picking the same thing apart on multiple occasions, there is a very strong chance you will start to get bored and want to move on to something else.?
I know I certainly have.?
But it's in sticking with it that you start to see nuance you never saw before and the interesting thing is that the more you allow yourself to be bored the more you'll discover nuances in your content you may have never touched on before.

?I like to think about this as The Boredom Breakthrough.?
When I spend enough time going over something that feels repetitive and I get bored with it, when I push through that boredom I usually make a new discovery.?
So over to you.?
Is there something that you're feeling bored with??
What if instead of stepping away you stepped in and looked at it again??
You never know what you might discover.?
Excelsior!?
P.S. Oh hey! Didn't see you there.
