The issue of border control is very divisive. Sometimes the rhetoric gets so heated that we need a fence between the two sides to keep the peace. Barriers are hardly a new phenomenon. The most famous is the Great Wall of China.
Barriers usually fall into two categories. Walls to keep people out or walls to keep people in. The Berlin Wall was not put there to stem the flow of immigrants from the West. Its function was to retain people in the East against their will.
We all have personal border walls. A good question to ask, "Is the barrier here to protect what I have or to insulate me from outside ideas and influences?" Both can be necessary at times. At other times, they may be detrimental to your growth and success.
In either case, when you’re building your wall, you might want to consider adding a gate. And, it's okay to lock the gate. Just keep the key handy.
