The point of entry is where the paper trail must begin. As people are transitioning, either legally or illegally, the information they provide is always under duress, which means we hear and are tipped to many voiced factors, which must be noted and will not show in a checkbox.
We are not asking for a book to be written, it is the highlighted notes with points of interest that are spoken or something they have on their person that is the difference. This action then allows others to know these facts if it wasn’t being sent to a data silo and not in accessible circulation. Collected data has always been this way, never available to be shared when really needed in a timely fashion. All your fellow officers are connected in every action they take, including I.C.E. alerting all.
CommSmart Global Group, a LexisNexis Risk Solutions Partner not only has the largest repository of public data, it allows law enforcement to access with their own crime data for crime analytics and predictive analysis. The radical change is the release of LENSS (Law Enforcement Network Sharing Solution), which is the precursor in the collection and real-time sharing of law enforcement collected information, via traffic stops, calls for service, stop and search and other crime activities/incidents.
Sharing in ‘Real-Time’ Street Level Law Enforcement Data
With All Within Your Jurisdiction, Across State Borders & All Agencies
The communications data sharing barrier has been broken and discarded at long last.
The border is key as an information gathering point, now, every single traffic stop, Call for Service, or Stop & Search, where you query DMV, NCIC or any other crime database is logged as a thread directly through LENSS (Law Enforcement Network Sharing Solution).
This simple but direct connection means every single time a tag, call for service or individual is ‘touched’ by law enforcement, is now showing via the query on one screen, all that has happened previously. LENSS is agnostic to the type of device used, it is a secure cloud-based solution. Laptop, Smartphone, Tablet and Desktop, all can administratively have access.
Prior to LENSS it never existed, officers, deputies and highway patrol were blind to anything prior to what was before them, unless there was a BOLO or an issued warrant. They were totally blind to all previous events, meaning the security risk was and is extremely high.
LENSS, which was developed over three years ago has not only completed its due diligence, testing, upgrading etc., it is working solidly in the State of Louisiana with law enforcement departments successfully. Making a radical difference in officer safety, crime solving and reducing expenditure, which is a relief to all regarding their budgets.
LENSS was developed by a partnership of former retired narcotics, and FBI. The street-level understanding is the importance of why it was created, developed and now globally available.
LENSS allows law enforcement to share, search and analyze information across agencies, geographies and IT data systems, all on one screen, which is simple and saves time.
LENSS affords a selection of intuitive and powerful search features to an agency’s existing IT infrastructure while steadily linking all jurisdiction and agencies together in our CJIS-compliant cloud. Which in turn links all that have a connection to the event or individual via email and SMS Text in ‘real-time’.
LENSS prospers when the network of users multiplies, meaning that our motivation is to provide every law enforcement department/agency across borders access to the data and the best tools at the lowest possible investment.
It is our total integration to all IT systems, with our patented/proprietary, custom-built data connectors which integrate with your databases whilst encrypting the data at a FIPS 140-2 compliant encryption standard using AES 256-bit technology before it is transferred to a CJIS-compliant secure facility.
It is the unequaled access that is afforded when your agency joins LENSS, your sworn/warranted officers will instantly have access to the world of data that others have shared. This access to data across jurisdictions allows our users a unique capability to combat crimes that transcend geography and time, such as simple crime, narcotics and currency trafficking, gun running, organized retail crime, missing persons, slavery, human trafficking. Beyond agency data, LENSS ingests countless data sources from the public and private sector which is immediately available upon a search of a suspect, location or incident.
Let us take you a major step further than any other criminal data suggested solutions, it is not only the law enforcement officer who is enacting the interaction, it is the ‘real-time connection’ with all others who have been connected in some fashion to this incident, who filed a report with anything that is further connected. They are now communicated via email/SMS text instantaneously, within thirty seconds. One stop grows to a massive team that can and will assist in solving crimes at a speed that was never thought imaginable before.
This is not a local, county, state solution! It is a national solution that has been designed to be effective in all 50 States, The District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and all borders. In fact, it is capable to work in any country as a global connector of criminal data, which then administratively can be shared.
It has taken a long time to collectively share information with this important data, which reduces investigative costs and allows for a timely resolvement of crimes.
The morale of all law enforcement is increased through the collective satisfaction that they have played a part in the closing of an outstanding crime or preventing more.
Let us introduce you the first steps you can take and where you will see a major difference. Narcotics and currency trafficking are the major connectors to all crime. The change that is available through our Currency Tracking is more than revolutionary, it is a major game changer!
Let’s Talk LENSSOLOGY & HIDTA!
Currency Tracking & Network Sharing Module
There is nothing more important to any law enforcement officer than safety. This can only occur when we have the correct information at our fingertips. In the first place, it has to be collected and readily available to all. Big data sadly is always stored in data silos and not accessible to those that require it in a timely or secure manner.
Drugs and money or if you like narcotics and currency go hand in hand. The efforts to reduce the drugs on the streets is a never-ending circle, which is fed from the start with currency. The money, the funding to start the transactions. The currency has to be in the right place to even start a narcotics transaction, the grower/processor, illicit drug manufacturers and the investment group. Pure business, with a difference, it is all cash!
Both drug and currency mules are crisscrossing the roads, motorways, and freeways of the global. Billions of currencies are traveling 24/7/365 and very open to being stopped by the highway patrol, sheriff’s deputies and police officers. Right now, they have no way at the actual stop to know anything about the currency or anything about the driver or passengers past connections with law enforcement, unless there is a warrant or an issue that is suspicious.
University students and others are hired as onetime mules to courier these funds as they are clean with no criminal records, which makes it difficult to recognize. Due to the age of the students, they believe they can go forever and drive whilst tired, making mistakes or using something to keep them awake, this is where they make the driving mistakes and open the door for law enforcement to enact a traffic stop.
If a traffic stop is made and the amount of currency on the person or within the vehicle is suspect, what options do you have to record the currencies or compare them with known association to drug monies? You do not, you have no recorded idea of the monies on their person whatsoever.
Sure, there may be a paper record of copied notes from a previous seizure available, which means a heck of a lot of time to track it down trying to verify. Who really goes back and checks those reams of paper with copied currency on them?
No one efficiently, you do not have the time or the manpower!
This is the digital age and yes, there are currency machines that can and will record serial numbers in seconds and then store the results in a data silo. These are far from readily available to be compared and certainly not available via a network to all officers on the streets and freeways.
We have radically changed that!
For organizations that are frontline in narcotics and have all fellow agencies working similar cases, in the same manner, are overseen by HIDTA (High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas) especially in deconfliction.
Processing deconfliction requests are central to the responsibility of HIDTA. Law enforcement officers conduct numerous events, such as surveillance, serving search warrants, and making undercover drug buys throughout the day in an effort to reduce drug trafficking and related crimes. As investigations progress, the targeted individuals may operate across multiple jurisdictions and have ties with other criminal groups or DTOs.
Event deconfliction help to ensure officer safety by notifying agencies of potential conflicts in enforcement actions taking place in close proximity to one another.
Now there is a major change in how all agencies can and will work together in the collection currency serial numbers, which is immediately uploaded into LENSS Currency Tracking Module and available to all law enforcement in the field across jurisdictions to clear or arrest the suspect.
Now law enforcement can manually enter currency serial numbers, the LENSS Currency Tracking & Network Sharing Solution does the rest in querying for a match. They can have a small version of the unit in vehicles to automatically scan currencies.
Every State Public Safety Department within their Fusion Center with its Narcotics division can now expand the network of officers, to literally every officer via any device to connect through LENSS and your State’s database.
Seized, confiscated or suspect currency can now be recorded in mere seconds, allowing for all officers to have this information instantaneously, with ease to query the monies or currency at a traffic stop or a planned raid where known monies will be.
LENSS Currency Tracking machines are housed within various agencies/departments for ease of scanning seized or checking currency and logging for all to have access securely and query.
Using a CI to making buys with this recorded currency is a whole new world of really knowing, comparing and securing a conviction with evidence that is readily available. This is efficiency at its finest!
No more comparing photocopied currency and slaving over comparison tasks which take hours, if you ever actually have time to do so.
The efficiency factor is overwhelming and now that you are recording so much more currency it is populating the databases and increasing the opportunity to match currency, connecting with the illegal monies, the dealers, and drug/currency mules.
Take the LENSS (Law Enforcement Network Sharing Solution) approach and we shall show you so much more you can achieve with LENSS Currency Tracking & Network Sharing Solution.
If you think this is mind-blowing, we have a lot more to talk about and change your street level capabilities!
