When people think of bootstrapping, they immediately think of the financial side of things. They think about financial freedom and the freedom to make business decisions independent of any stakeholders.
What they don’t consider is the freedom associated with bootstrapped leadership teams.
How many business leaders do you know say their retirement goal is not to work??Not many.?They aim to work when they want, where they want, with whom they want, and on what they want.
The ultimate reward of my 20+ year journey in bootstrapping has been seeing the bootstrapping mindset positively impact my team’s lives. My leadership team gets the unique privilege of charting their own course every day and making their?own independent decisions. That level of control given to leadership?has led to drastically higher satisfaction in my team’s?professional and personal lives. It allows them to?focus on doing the right things for our customers and their teammates every day.
