As Industry leaders implore the Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Chancellor to deliver HS2 in full, Booth Industries International has written to its local MP and the Shadow Business & Trade Secretary asking for their unwavering support in ensuring certainty for the future of HS2’s Northern leg.
In a letter to Mrs Yasmin Qureshi MP and Jonathan Reynolds MP , Michael Jenkinson Managing Director of Booth Industries, stated that as a key supplier to the HS2 project the project has been instrumental in creating major employment opportunities for people in the Greater Manchester area.
Stressing the adverse effects of the political uncertainties around HS2 has had on the business and future investment he stressed the need for unwavering commitments that transcend political winds, which in doing so would not only safeguard jobs, but would also create new employment opportunities while fostering economic growth in the Northwest.
