Boosting Efficiency with Chidhakasha.
Dr. Mayer Friedman and Dr. Ray Rosenman (both cardiologists) actually discovered the Type A behavior by accident after they realized that their waiting-room chairs needed to be reupholstered much sooner than anticipated.
What is type A Behavior? Type A is a personality type which is susceptible to stroke, according to the doctors.
Some of the key traits of this personality are Driving Ambition. Impatience. Always talking about Efficiency. craving Praise. Being Hyperactive. Always Short of Time. Finding it difficult to relax and rest.
Chidhakasha conducted a workshop on Stress and Mindfulness, around 3 years back in Khar Gymkhana for executives and we taught them to relax. A New York Times Article from 2013, suggested intermittent working, in periods of 90 minutes, but how was is it possible to relax in office during working hours?. Chidhakasha devised a technique to relax without resting the body, and yet feel refreshed. I am certain that the technique has been beneficial to the attendees since there was no follow up session, due to the pandemic.
The technique is simple, and involves a mindset which can relax at a moments notice. Accepting gracefully those things over which you have no control and saving your energy for those things that you can do something about.. Accepting your mistakes and learning and lastly Being more patient and tolerant of other people.
Traditional Mindfulness goes beyond just awareness, and trains and disciplines the mind.
