If you happen to be one of those lucky ducks who's sitting pretty at the top of the search engine results page, you can be sure that there's a lot of hard work happening behind the scenes to make it happen.
Yeah, that legwork is what we call SEO. But trust me, once you get the hang of it, it becomes second nature. In this guide, I'll break down the complex process of on-page SEO into simple steps and provide visual aids to help you understand it better. Sounds good, right? Let's get started!

5. Define Meta Descriptions
Consider a meta description your website's elevator presentation to search engines. It summarises a web page in 150–160 characters. This is your chance to get folks to click on your link in a sea of search results.

6. Well-written URLs

It provides useful information, solutions, or entertainment that will appeal to readers or viewers. Excellent information is well-researched, accurate, and current, exhibiting expertise and credibility. It's well-organized, has a?fascinating storyline, and uses good grammar and spelling. Quality content takes into account user intent, wants, and preferences and is platform- and audience-specific. It promotes engagement, sharing, and long-term relationships by creating a positive user experience and is a key component of successful content marketing and SEO tactics.

8. Image Optimization
The vast majority of information on a website is often made up of images. Optimizing photos on a website helps to speed up page loads, save bandwidth, and reduce data usage on mobile data plans.
Since search engines rate sites by page load speed, image optimization can boost SEO ranks. The outcome is significant load savings, improved user experience, and site exposure.
9. Link building
Link building is not usually considered a straight part of on-page SEO. Instead, it is more of an off-page SEO strategy.
On-page SEO works on optimizing things like content, meta tags, and internal links that are already on a page. But, even so, building links has a secondary effect on SEO on a page.
Quality backlinks from trusted sources can boost a page's authority and reliability, which may help it rank higher in search results.
So, building links is important for SEO in general, but it's more closely related to off-page efforts. On-page SEO, on the other hand, is mostly about optimizing the text and structure of each page.
