Boost Your Social Media Game in 2023: 3 Powerful Hacks to Try

The year is 2023 and everyone is on Social Media. Brands are taking over our favorite platforms to promote their businesses. Professional social media strategists are working on how to gain significant results without burning too much money on paid advertisements. As a social media professional myself, I brainstormed too and find a few hacks that I used frequently to make my audience more interested in my employers' or clients' brands Social Media handle.

However, social media platforms these days tend to reduce organic reach of business profiles and pages and force the big fishes to bring out the big money to spend on promotion. This makes the job of a social media strategists much harder as they often have to be accountable for the budget they spend and ROI. The problem will never be resolved due to the business motive of the platforms but it also offers few tricks to leverage the organic results. If you are a social media strategist with advertising capabilities, here are 3 social media hacks you can use in 2023 to improve your organic performances.


Dynamic Content: Do not just post typical photos and animated videos to bore your audience. Try diversifying contents and posts by bringing variations like links, carousels, Instant Experience, Reels and many more. So how can you do that? When Facebook first made the Carousel format available for businesses, it was available on creator studio. But over the time, it no longer appears under Meta business suite as a regular option. Now only way to create a carousel is through Meta Ads Manager which requires paid advertising budget. But what if I tell you that you can publish carousels without spending? Till date Meta kept it available for marketers.

How to do that? Use the Page Posts tools on your traditional Business Manager suite. Here are the steps to publish a carousel on your Facebook page.

  • Go to Ads Manager
  • Create your carousel by creating campaign.
  • Turn off the campaign immediately after publishing it so that it cannot spend any amount.
  • Go to Page Posts and then Ad Posts to see the latest carousel there.
  • Select the post you want to publish and then publish it or Schedule for publishing later.


Call To Action: Try using as much as Call To Action (CTA) buttons on your posts. You can add a few options from pages original creator studio or add many more from the Ads Manager. How to add CTA without spending on Ads Manager?

  • Create a draft campaign and choose Existing Posts option in the Ads section.
  • Choose the post you want to add CTA on.
  • Add your CTA and then discard the campaign.
  • Your campaign will be deleted but CTA will remain on your posts.


Tag Products: If you are promoting tangible products, it's mandatory to have your catalog setup using your eCommerce to display all your products in the shop section of your page. Once you have that setup, you can easily tag products on your posts and gain more organic clicks to your website or marketplace without spending on ads. Don't have any eCommerce website? Try setting your Commerce Manager account using a data feed.

The above tips and tricks are very basic yet not known to some professionals due to frequent changes of tools and layouts. I firmly believe they will be there at least till the end of 2023 if not for longer. So feel free to use them as long as you can.
