With the advent of IT, an era started to take away jobs through automation and now we have reached the stage where this sword is hanging over those who started this revolution. Now they have been asked to upgrade their skills or prepared to be discarded in months to come. This impact will not be confined to IT only rather no business shall remain unaffected of this syndrome.
Within few years all around us is about to change and with time we all may be able to embrace this change but for many this change still looks distant. I suggest them to look at Forbes list and see how the dynamics of the market has changed and it would further indicate what future hold for all of us.
In this dynamic world which is changing at a much rapid speed than ever. Fulcrum of leadership has become people more than ever and they are only going to gain more importance in days to come.
Has the time come for CPO to take up the most responsible job of being CEO?
In a distant future, it looks like this change will impact every industry through the introduction of next level of automation; BFSI, HCLS, manufacturing, M&E, logistics, Security, et al. All the repeated task shall be taken over by automation be it cooking, driving, teaching…. One needs to look for a job that is disparate or automation can’t match the value a human can offer or humans’ creativity goes beyond the periphery of data evolution; it’s interesting to look into how farfetched it could be.
Keeping all these factors in mind, one needs to manage people with creativity, or rare skills that would come with millennial tantrums. Hence, we would be needing CEOs who are data intensive and manage human resources effectively. In an ideal world, we are talking about HR heads but this story has repeated many a times before without seeing any favorable result. So are we expecting a great change in coming years where our HR heads become rightful heir or do they need to gear up to take up this great responsibility for which they need to evince their worth to take the most valuable job in the company?
Do you agree that time has come for us to embrace the biggest change ever?
