Infrastructure sector is undisputedly the life-line of Indian economy.

And, more so today.

As it is gaining more movement due to greater initiatives taken at the Senior Governance level.

India is targeting to reach US$ 5 trillion economy by 2025, in which Infrastructure is a key driver.

With a solo objective to uplift the economy, Government is engaging execution of dynamic policies with clockwork efficiency to construct world class infrastructure in the country.

In sync, private players are enthusiastically introducing development in the desired fields.

Traditionally, Infrastructure sector’s focus lied on verticals of power, bridges, dams, roads, and urban setups earlier.

But in essence, it engines the growth of the allied sectors like satellite townships, housing units, built-up infrastructure and construction development projects besides roads, bridges, dams, tunnels etc.

So, as a whole, all efforts are to derive growth of the Nation on priority.

Keeping this intent, National Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP) combined with other initiatives such as ‘Make in India’ and the production-linked incentives (PLI) scheme for the holistic growth of infrastructure segment bringing new hopes and opportunities.

Above 78% of the country's infrastructure expenditure was dedicated to elevate transportation, energy, and water& irrigation till now.

Realizing the imminent rising needs of Nation, PM Modi already stated a Rs.100 lakh crore Master Plan for multi-modal connectivity last year.

Purpose is loud and clear.

This corpus is going to address the target of developing state-of-the-art Infrastructure to minimize the logistic costs and speed up the pace of development.

If one remembers, Union Budget 2021 had envisioned clearly-defined initiatives like “Housing for All” & “Smart Cities Mission” and a plump allocation of Rs.13,750 Crore to fulfill these targets.

So, the seat of operation is civil engineering and its greater application. But for mammoth challenges to crystallize a sound Infrascape, engineering must meet changing ground realities.

Because civil infrastructure system is now not restricted to structure specifics. It implies that all the applied aspects of infrastructure engineering must be seen through the lens of social, economic, political and cultural frames in which they function together. Many other elements like shape and form of construction, maintenance modalities, operations quotient, conduct in natural calamities and other severe events and at point of destruction has to be measured in advance.

?As a result, it must involve the seamless functioning of all other systems directly or indirectly linked to base system of development-infrastructure.

Such varied and specialised aspects of an Infrastructure project-whether small, medium or Big could only be taken care of by advanced engineering or Advanced Grouting approach. ?
