“Bookworm”

Did you feel anytime that bookworms damaged your books during your schooling or college days or now or still ruining???

Off course, some of us would have been really challenged these bookworms in our lives.

But I am going to introduce another type of “Bookworm”, that you would ‘been already witnessed and travelled along with them…

And I know very well that “Why I named as a Bookworm” since my school days???

Before going to the streamline, I would like to introduce my Telugu master, who has four daughters; fortunately, one of them is my comate during my school days. Will discuss later about his capabilities and knowledge in Telugu language, just narrating his beliefs on reading story books, novels and so on.

I wholeheartedly thank him for his passion to subscribe all the story books and weekly women’s magazines like “Chandamama Kathalu”, Bala Jyothi, Bala Mitra, Andhra Prabha, Andhra Jyothi, Swathi and so on in our 80s itself.

As, I don’t have many feasibilities to buy weekly or subscribe annually, passionate to read the storybooks and so on.

In this contest, I appreciate my comate, as she allowed me to read those books once they completed the reading.

Surprisingly, I am a fast bowler, not to take much time to finish them and used to wait for the next weekly with more enthusiasm and sadness, because I am hunger to read those!!!

All the four kids have restrictions to read weekly magazine articles, means not meant for them. But I don’t have any restrictions, I can read anything, which can sooth and mesmerize my passion and interest.

I always thank my master aunty, as she used to preserve several novels of serialised publications from the magazines; cut them separately and bound them as a complete publication. Such many publications or complete novels were available only for me, not for anyone in their house.

I became a member of their family, I sit any corner of the house, and read continually till I get the end page. No disturbance, no callings or no bothering to me whenever I was busy with my soulmates.

So, my thirsty for reading story books, magazines and novels developed at very young age only, I read almost all the novels, which published during 70s, 80s and 90s…

I learnt many life lessons and I got so much knowledge on mythology, spirituality, socialism and many more.

So, whenever I found a small pinch of paper, I used to take into my hands and used to read every bit of the same. ?

My parents never restricted me what to read or what not to read in those days, so I read all the books and novels from my 6th grade onwards.

You may not believe me or not, but I was ambitious and passionate to continue my reading journey.

Presently, you can find bunch of books on my table for quick reference, as of now, my choices are different, and my passion turned into a different world, still you can call me as a “Bookworm”.

My relatives, friends and teachers are still prefer to call me as a “Bookworm”.
