The Books I Read In May - Review
Book 15 | May 2018
The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck - A Counterintuitive Approach To Living A Good Life | Mark Manson
Author Mark Manson focuses heavily on why it's important not to get so caught up on many of life's challenges and problems, and rather, to focus on having a more 'accepting' and less concerned approach to life's challenges and most difficult situations. Though that all sounds good and well, and though I agree with many of the points highlighted in this book, the book itself ventures off quite a bit on too many random tangents. The book didn't do the best job of carrying it's core message throughout and instead there were an endless amount of forced jokes. The book does touch on some interesting psychological concepts and laws, however.
All in all, personally, I particularly enjoyed the first and last chapters, with the rest of the book being pretty average.

This month has seen me only complete 1 book from front to back! #Failure. I'm halfway through reading 'I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings' by Maya Angelou and also am halfway through reading the holy Quran given it's the blessed Islamic month of Ramadan.
My excuse for not getting more reading done in May: fasting, setting up T100, CV and career consulting and working on projects #3 and #4.

Until next month, happy reading!
P.s. I'd love to hear what books have been keeping you busy this year. Let me know in the comments, especially if you have any great recommendations!
Thanks :)
