The books I liked best in Q3 2023

These four books are the books I enjoyed reading most during the third quarter of this year. I managed to read many other good books, and?you can find them on my Goodreads profile.

Personal MBA

By Josh Kaufman

Diving deep into the business world without the confines of a traditional MBA, This book is a testament to self-education. It challenges the conventional route, suggesting that with the right resources and mindset, one can master the intricacies of business. It's a toolkit for the modern entrepreneur, emphasising the power of self-driven learning and the importance of practical knowledge.

How to Live

By Derek Sivers

Derek Sivers offers a refreshing perspective on living a meaningful life in a world overflowing with information and distractions and drawing from personal experiences and timeless wisdom, "How to Live" nudges you to question societal norms and carve your unique path. It's not just about existence but about creating a life filled with purpose, passion, and profound insights.

The 5-second Rule

By Mel Robbins

Mel Robbins introduces a transformative concept that promises to revolutionise decision-making. By harnessing the power of five seconds, this book encourages readers to act on their instincts, overcome procrastination, and embrace opportunities. It's a call to action, urging you to break free from self-imposed limitations and to seize the moment with courage and conviction.

For a change, I would like to add a fiction book to the mix since reading it was like a warm blanket on a cold winter's day (incredibly pleasurable)

Days at the Morisaki Bookshop

By Satoshi Yagisawa

The book follows 25-year-old Takako as she finds solace and self-discovery working at her uncle Satoru's used bookstore in Jimbocho, Japan. After a heartbreak and job loss, Takako immerses herself in literature and forms meaningful connections with fellow book lovers. The novel explores emotional complexities, offering a nuanced look at love, desire, and grief.

Any book tips from your end are always more than welcome!

An excellent insight of the books you have compiled here Rick. I would love to read them, whenever I get the time.
