Books That Changed My Life

Books That Changed My Life

Have you read any life-changing books? Not the fictional type but books that REALLY changed your life?

I especially love to listen to personal development books and then I’ll read them!

These are a few of my favourites that I still go back to when I need some inspiration. I give you an outline here but if you want to find out more then here’s the blog I prepared earlier! ??????

The blog also has the links etc for you to buy.

Number 1 probably won’t surprise you!:

You Can Heal Your Life?by Louise Hay

I was in a very dark place when I came across You Can Heal Your Life. I was going through a lot at the time. I was struggling with low self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. I felt like I was stuck in a rut and I didn't know how to get out.

But when I listened to Louise on Youtube and read this book, something clicked. Louise Hay's message of self-love and empowerment resonated with me deeply. I started to see that my thoughts and beliefs were creating my reality, and that I had the power to change my life by changing my thoughts.

I started practising the affirmations and visualisations that Louise Hay suggests in her book, and slowly but surely, I began to see a difference. My self-esteem started to improve, my anxiety started to decrease, and I started to feel more positive and hopeful about my life.

Like everyone, I'm still on my journey, but I'm so grateful to Louise Hay for her work.

2. The Power Is Within You?by Louise Hay

I have a confession, I prefer this book to the one at Number 1! I can’t really explain why but it helped me on my journey to change my life in so many ways, and I'm so grateful for the insights and tools that it has given me.

This book showed me the true power of repeating positive affirmations and how they can help us to reprogram our subconscious mind. I've found this to be true in my own life, and I've seen how repeating positive affirmations can help me to overcome challenges and achieve my dreams.

Louise Hay said that

"the more you love yourself, the more you will love your life."

This simple but powerful statement has helped me to understand the importance of taking care of myself both physically and emotionally. When I'm taking care of myself, I'm better able to handle the challenges of life, and I'm more likely to experience joy and happiness.

Basically, this book helped me to heal and thrive, and I just love how I can now help others too, because of Louise.

3. Ask and It Is Given?by Esther and Jerry Hicks

I have been following the teachings of Abraham for quite a few years now, and I have seen firsthand the power of the law of attraction. I have manifested many things in my life, including my business, a new home, and the loving relationships that I have.

The book is based on the teachings of Abraham, a non-physical group consciousness that Esther Hicks channels. Abraham teaches that we are all creators, and that we can create the life we want by focusing on our thoughts and feelings. When we think and feel good, we are in alignment with the law of attraction, and we will attract more good things into our lives.

The book emphasises the importance of feeling good. Abraham teaches that when we feel good, we are vibrating at a high frequency, and we are more likely to attract what we want.

I came across Abraham before Louise Hay and always return to remind myself that

“things are always working out for me”

even when they feel like they’re not!!

4. Happy for No Reason?by Marci Shimoff

This book teaches you how to be happy from the inside out. Happy For No Reason is based on the latest findings in positive psychology, and it includes powerful tools and techniques to help you raise your "happiness set-point."

If you're looking for a way to boost your joy and well-being, I highly recommend checking it out.

5. Chillpreneur?by Denise Duffield Thomas

This is a book for those wanting to go into business or who are already in business. Chillpreneur is all about creating a business that doesn't stress you out!! Denise teaches that it's possible to be successful and fulfilled without sacrificing your sanity. She shares her own story of building a successful business without burning out, and she offers practical tips and strategies that you can use to create a chillpreneur lifestyle.

It’s also a really fun read and/or listen and Denise loves Louise Hay of course!

I could go on and on about all of the ways that these books have helped me to change my life. Don’t forget that the blog goes into a little more detail and has all the links to buy either through Amazon or World of Books.

?????? Here’s the link again.

Now it’s your turn! What are the books that have had a huge impact on your life and why?

And I am recycling the?Louise Hay?affirmation from earlier!

"The more I love myself, the more I love my life"

With much love and thanks

Liz ??

P.S. A huge thank you to Sarah Rose Bright for an amazing session last week and introducing us to breast massage and how it can help us in so many ways. Here’s the link to the replay.

Great question. Hal Elrod’s Miracle Morning’ was the most helpful when I hit a very low low when I was made redundant. But I have read soo many uplifting and thought-provoking novels too, just can’t think of one of them right now!!
