--What Bookkeeping Is Like--

Bookkeeping is like knowing oneself-where you came from, your current situation, and your future destiny.

In bookkeeping, you want to make sure of the real nature or source or the reason for the transaction.?Individual transactions flow through the financial reports. If you fail to establish the true identity of each transaction, it will affect your financial reports and the decisions you make based on those financial reports.?

In life, if you do not know where you came from, who created you, and the reason for your existence, you will definitely struggle with your identity and the decisions you make in life.

In bookkeeping, you want to determine how your company is performing based on your current transactions. If your books are not updated, you’ll definitely suffer the consequences of using misleading reports and erroneous tax filing. And that is definitely not a good situation to be in.

In life, most of the pressing issues are caused by the “here and now” because we need immediate solutions so that we can satisfy the needs that affect ourselves, our loved ones, other people around us, and the institutions we deal with, who are all demanding of solutions that should be available “here and now”. If we fail to respond to the “here and now” needs, we know we have a problem.

Effective bookkeeping can definitely be a reliable basis for planning and forecasting. No businessman will ever put up a business without dreaming about its growth. Good knowledge of past performance will enable business owners to continue or discontinue certain actions they did in the past or try out something really new. They need reliable historical data. The more reliable the data they have, the higher chance that what they’ll do is correct.

So what about the future of our existence? Thank God, everything in this life is temporary. There is eternity after this world, and that’s what matters the most. We may or may not be successful in this world, but there is a glorious future ahead for everyone who accepts Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His One and Only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.?For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.?Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s One and Only Son.”

John 3:16-18 New International Version
