Bookish news

Very proud to share the news that I am now a published author. My psychological thriller SEAS OF SNOW is being distributed by Penguin.

Readers of an earlier post of mine will remember the story behind this - the amazing team at Unbound selected my work for publication. We ran a crowdfunding campaign and attracted some extraordinary support. Each and every person who backed it has contributed to making this happen. As Unbound say: 'books are now in your hands'. And now mine can be, quite literally.

The inspiration of the story came from the time I was leading the BBC News coverage of a high profile case. I became fascinated in the mind and motives of a psychopath, and went on to take my learning further in the different disciplines of psychology.

Having spent many years as a TV producer and writing words that have informed, educated and entertained millions through different media... it's a new experience for me being the 'front man'. I am much more used to being the wind beneath the wings and a somewhat invisible presence from the audience perspective. Now - I have readers. Who want to read my book...

I'm daunted and excited in equal measure - my book is now on sale at actual bookshops; and beginning to take up residence on bookshelves from Australia to the States. You can see some of the review highlights on my author page on Facebook and on my Twitter feed @zinca. It's really quite humbling. And amazing.

So I am taking the opportunity to write as we gear up for the formal launch this week. I just want to thank all of the wonderful people who have believed in me over the years, and helped me breathe life into my dreams.
