#Book14of2024 | Review | Rock, Paper, Scissors by Alice Feeney

This book is smart, shocking, and deliciously unique!

YOU SHOULDN’T MISS this book! Mark my words.

What made it brilliant is that:

1. The three POV narrations of flawed, unreliable characters and those emotional, slightly disturbing letters containing the ugly truth of a marriage’s anatomy keeps you on the edge of your seat.

2. The last few chapters kept throwing explosives on your lap! Such brilliant plot unfolds... ufffff !

Without giving away much of the story (because that's where the magic is), here is what the story is:

This is about a couple who have been married for ten years. Every anniversary, they exchange traditional gifts symbolizing that year of marriage, including a paper crane, a copper compass, a tin box, etc., and each year the wife writes her husband a sentimental and honest letter that she never lets him read: a secret record of their marriage.

But in their 10th marriage, we see they are going through a visibly difficult patch.

Sometimes a weekend getaway can be just what a couple needs to get back on track.

But what if things don't go as planned? A snowstorm is coming. And that's' not even the frightening part.

There is someone who is spying on them... their every move... at a haunted chapel... and will not let them leave without playing a game of "Rock, Paper, Scissors"

Highly Recommend!!
